Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), also known as Vincenzo Bellini Airport, is about 8 km from the city center and serves as Sicily’s busiest airport, offering connections to major European cities.

Catania is accessible via major highways. Parking options are available near the University, but prior arrangements may be necessary.
Taxis are located outside Arrivals. White cars with “TAXI” on the roof. Call +39 095 330966 (Radiotaxi) or +39 095 386794 (night service) for service.
Check Route →The AMTS “Alibus” (https://www.amts.ct.it/alibus) connects the airport to the city center. First bus leaves at 04:40, last at 00:30. Buses run every 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased onboard or at AMTS offices. Nearest stop to the department: "Italia".
The “Fontanarossa” train stop is connected to the airport by AMTS shuttle (~600 m walk). Buy integrated train + shuttle tickets at Trenitalia. From “Catania Centrale” station, take M1 metro towards Nesima and get off at the “Italia” stop.
